Your cover is valid for a calendar year. The policy will be automatically renewed annually on the existing terms and conditions unless you or the insurers give one month’s notice of cancellation or alteration prior to the annual renewal date.

Covers your boat against loss or damage due to “War Risks” that are excluded under your Hull Insurance, including:
War, civil war or hostilities, the presence or use of mines, torpedoes, bombs or other weapons of war, consequences of rebellion, plunder, acts of political violence, civil unrest, strikes or lockouts.

Excludes seizure in owner’s country of origin, or in which vessel is registered.
Excludes quarantine regulations or infringement of customs regulations.
Excludes expenses incurred due to delays.
Excludes listed areas.

Excluded listed areas can be updated when potentially volatile situations arise.

Scope of cover can be cancelled on 7 days notice from insurers, or automatically terminated upon detonation of nuclear weapons, or outbreak of war between UK, USA, France, CIS and China.

Part A 3

Covers your boat against loss or damage caused by seizure, confiscation, misappropriation etc. whilst under order of the State, Public of Municipal authorities.

Excludes any consequential loss, loss resulting from recovery of ownership, or die to any delays.

Jurisdiction
The contract of insurance is governed by English Law.
 
Cancellation right
We hope you are happy with the cover this policy provides. However, you have the right to cancel it within 14 days of receiving the policy, without giving any reasons. If you wish to exercise your right to cancel the insurance, you should return the policy schedule, marked “cancelled”, within 14 days of receipt. We will cancel your policy and return the unused portion of your premium payment – you will be charged for the number of days from the date of issue until the date we receive your notice of cancellation. If you do not exercise your right of cancellation within 14 days, you will be bound by the contractual terms for the 12 months period of insurance.

Compensation Scheme
We are informed that the Financial Services Compensation Scheme excludes all contracts of insurance for yachts and their liabilities
